Magnet Description

This Performing Fine Arts program fosters students' artistic, academic, and personal development through a rigorous, performance-based curriculum in instrumental, vocal, dance, and theatrical arts. Students who desire a focus in a performing art, filled with an intense training that utilizes an academic integrated plan of study, will choose their performance area to hone their craft while growing as an individual performer and citizen. Performance choices will be based in the performing arts, such as instrument, vocal, dance, and theatre. Holding students to high, academic and artistic standards while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, collaboration, support, and acceptance, this program encourages individual creative pursuits as well as collaboration for the good of the ensemble. Program students will actively engage in the local community, demonstrating integrity, leadership, and service while delivering world-class performances.

Please note that bus transportation is not provided for this program.

Specific Eligibility Requirements: Applicant’s schedule must be able to accommodate magnet classes; a 3.0 GPA is recommended; an audition is required.
