Magnet Description


The focus of the Entertainment Production and Management Academy is to develop student proficiency in the back-of-house areas of theatre production including but not limited to the following: Sound and Music Production, Entertainment Design and Technology, and Digital Media Television Production. The program focuses on the technical, organizational, and managerial knowledge and skills necessary to bring arts, media, and entertainment to the public. Students will learn all facets of the entertainment industry, and will build skills through real-world experiences in the preparation and performance of theatrical and entertainment events. The program provides the opportunity to earn free college credits in a two-year course of study offered through Valencia College. The curriculum includes an opportunity to earn technical certification in one of three areas: Digital Media Television Production, Entertainment Design and Technology, or Sound and Music Technology.

Please note that bus transportation is not provided for this program.

Specific Eligibility Requirements: Applicant’s schedule must be able to accommodate magnet classes; a 2.5 GPA is recommended.
