For Mac OS users, there is a system setting that may not allow you to tab onto several types of elements in a web page. To change this setting:
The Enterprise Visitor Management System (EVMS) provides a standardized system to track visitors and volunteers and manage access to OCPS schools/facilities, while potentially identifying people who may present a danger to students and employees.
Security video surveillance technology is part of the district electronic and physical security system. It is a key component in protecting facilities and personnel through the identification of emerging security incidents and facilitating an appropriate response by public safety and security resources. Video surveillance technology is identified within the district’s design criteria and is often the subject of security enhancement projects.
All visitors, volunteers, and vendors visiting an OCPS school or facility will need to provide a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or other form of government issued photo identification showing proof of name, picture, and date of birth (this can be from any country).
Our goal is to keep everyone safe. The EVMS application is a computer-based visitor registration application that enhances school security by reading visitor drivers’ licenses or other forms of government issued identification, comparing the information to a national sexual offender and sexual predator registry, alerting school/facility administrators if a match is found.
No information is retained or maintained in the application after the visitor is signed out of the application.
Yes. EVMS has designated checkboxes to identify a visitor as a contractor or lobbyist. Additional fields will require information to verify the status of either category of visitor.
Sexual predators or sexual offenders may have occasion to visit a school (i.e. relative of a student, attending a school event, etc.) or have business at a facility. Please provide your information and, when asked, take a seat and wait for an administrative approval. They may ask questions about your visit. When approved, a badge will be printed and an OCPS escort will be assigned to stay with you during your visit to the school or facility.
