BUS OPERATORS

(10-month Full-time and Part-time positions)

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • English proficiency is required
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with 5 years driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Benefited pay rates from $17.29 to $20.63 depending on experience 
  • Potential additional incentives up to $10,800
  • $8,000 Bus Operator Critical Shortage bonus*
  • Up to $300 Safe Driver
  • $1,500 Perfect Attendance
  • $9,000 combo ($50 x 180 days) 
  • Additional credit for military service

* $2,000 per marking period if no unpaid leave time off is taken during that period.

MECHANICS

(12-month full-time position)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with 5 years driving experience and a clean driving record
  • Benefited pay rates from $17.81 to $23.54 depending on experience 
  • Experience with service and repair of gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment
  • Additional credit for military service 

    • Paid training to get CDL license
    • Paid Bus Operator Pre-employment Activities-- fingerprinting, background checks and DOT physicals
    • Retirement packages through the Florida Retirement System
