Orange County Public Schools, Transportation Services is introducing Versatrans My Stop™ as new transportation technology to our school bus fleet. My Stop is a one-of-a-kind mobile app integrated with OCPS’s Versatrans® transportation management software that allows you to access estimated times of arrival or departure for your bus, as well as view your student’s current bus route.
My Stop is an easy-to-use app to access your student’s bus information quickly. On-board GPS technology automatically tracks and calculates bus routes and estimated time of arrival (ETA) to your stop. No more calls are needed to ask about which bus your student is on or if the bus will be on time; that can now be accessed at the touch of a button. Your student may also access the app if they have a mobile device.
Push notifications can help prevent you from having to frequently check the My Stop app for ETAs. Sign up for notifications to be automatically alerted about changes in your student’s bus status.
In addition you may see and receive push notifications when your student scans onto and off from the school bus (at the bus stop and then at the school). Students will scan twice in the morning (at the bus stop and then at the school) and twice in the afternoon (at the school and then off at the bus stop).
The app is called Versatans “My Stop” and it will be active beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024. Please note, route times are roughly 2 minutes delayed from the projected arrival time. This is due to the time it takes the GPS unit to transmit the data. Please still arrive to the stop 5-10 minutes early to plan for a potential earlier arrival time.
Your username and password for “My Stop” is the same as your username and password for Versatrans eLink®. For those who have not used e-Link, your username and password are (student's ID number and 8-digit birth date).
The username to sign into the My Stop Mobile App is:
Students OCPS student ID number; ######### (10 digits)
The password to sign into the My Stop Mobile App is:
Students date of birth, no dashes, no slashes (8 digits)
For example, August 1, 2000 would be 08012000
Thank you in advance for your participation in the “My Stop” program. If you have any questions about the application, please complete the My Stop App Help Ticket or reach out to the Transportation call center 407.317.3800 or email Let's Talk.
My Stop FAQ's, Tips and Troubleshooting
All students who are routed and scheduled on a bus route will be issued a Student Bus Ridership ID card. The card will be an OCPS issued RFID enabled card that students will be required to scan on their school bus each morning at their bus stop and off at the school when dropped off. In the afternoon students will then scan on at their schools when they board the bus and off at their bus stops when they depart. All Student Bus Ridership ID cards link directly to the onboard Tyler Drive route tablets installed on all OCPS school buses and utilized daily by all School Bus Operators.
This technology will be directly linked to other transportation software to include the routing program, the Versatrans My Stop School Bus App, and Onscreen, a reporting program of ridership.
For families who utilize the Versatrans My Stop School Bus App, a real-time notification will be received when their registered students scan on and off at their school bus, letting parents know when and where they were picked up and dropped off (bus stop or school).
Transportation is committed to the safety of all students who are transported daily. The use of Student Bus Ridership ID cards will allow for immediate notification to the driver if a student not registered for their bus/route, or is attempting to get on or off at an unassigned bus stop. Realization that a student is on a wrong bus will be known prior to the bus leaving the school in the afternoon, ensuring that students get on the correct bus daily.
In addition transportation and school administration will have access to pull student ridership reports after an incident occurs, to cross check attendance, to determine ridership numbers to create the most efficient routes with better on time arrivals, add additional students requesting transportation who are under the 2 mile zone and provide real time data to emergency responders.
Transportation will issue all students routed on an OCPS bus route with a Student Bus Ridership ID card. This is in addition to any school issued ID cards currently.
REPLACEMENT CARDS:
Students may request a replacement card for a lost, stolen or destroyed Student Bus Ridership ID card through the main office at their school of attendance. Cards will be printed and sent back to the school once the request is received. Students will still be permitted to ride their assigned school bus until the new card is received. A driver will manually load and unload the student.
