The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed to help students develop the knowledge, understanding, attitudes, and skills necessary to participate actively and responsibly in a changing world. The MYP is internationally recognized and encourages students to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers.
Using global contexts, MYP students develop an understanding of their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet through developmentally appropriate explorations of:
Participating students enter the program as sixth graders and a limited number may enter as seventh and eighth graders. Students throughout the Orange County School District may apply for this program.
Transportation is not provided for elementary magnets nor high school magnets. In accordance with district transportation policy, transportation is provided to the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at the middle schools, but transportation is not provided to the other middle school magnets. If a student is enrolled in a magnet at his or her zoned school, the student will be eligible for transportation according to district transportation policy.
Specific Eligibility Requirements: Applicant's schedule must be able to accommodate magnet classes; a 2.5 GPA is recommended.
Robinswood Middle School serves students who are zoned for the following middle schools: Apopka, Lakeview, Ocoee, Piedmont Lakes, Robinswood, and Wolf Lake
