Sally Ride Elementary's Aviation and Aerospace magnet provides an enhanced curriculum focusing on science with connections to the worlds of aviation and aerospace. Students will have the opportunity to learn science content through hands-on, minds-on experiments. These take place in a science lab and the regular classroom. For the applicable science units, teachers extend the concepts to include any aviation or aerospace links, creating a web of understanding between the state benchmarks and the magnet topic.

Participating students enter the magnet in kindergarten with offers in all other grades as space permits.

Please note that bus transportation is not provided for this magnet.

Specific Eligibility Requirements: Applicant's schedule must be able to accommodate magnet classes.
