Student Surveys

The Student Surveys page was created as a result of Florida Statute section 1001.42. All data collection instruments (e.g., surveys, interview protocols, focus group protocols) must be in compliance with this new legislation and provide parents and guardians with the opportunity to review materials associated with research studies implemented in the school district.

Parents can opt out of having their children participate in research studies at any time.

  • The following survey is scheduled to be administered to students in select middle schools beginning on the date included in ( ):

    Study ID S12: Florida Youth Surveys - randomly selected Middle Schools (3/3/2025)

    Study ID S14: 2024-25 Senior Survey (2/26/2025)

    Study ID S15: 2024-25 Florida Youth Survey- High Schools (3/7/2025)

    Families will receive a message from the participating schools if their student is eligible to participate.

  • Parents who would like to opt their student out of participating in a student survey must complete the Student Survey Opt-Out form prior to the first day of the survey window.
